Do I need to mask off car before I spray with Ragg Topp or other products?

I spray RaggTopp on a microfiber applicator away from my car then wipe onto the top. I hate overspray, I do the same for glass.

It wouldn't hurt, although you have more than enough time to wipe it off of paint/glass, etc.
