Congratulations on being named Professional Car Washing and Detailing magazine's 2004 Detailer of the year! :bow



I just got this month's issue and saw the article. Not only are you a great detailer but from what I read in the article (plus your willingness to help here), you are a terrific person as well. :)
 
Congrats man, it's always nice when you get recognized for what you do (especially when you enjoy doing it).



Scottwax, where did you pick up that magazine?

Go to www.carwash.com and you should be able to sign up for it. Most of the magazine deals with conveyor type car washes, coin-ops and lube/car washes but they throw us detailers about 5-6 pages a month.
 
Thanks guys. It's nice to get some recognition after what seems like forever building the business. I am really more proud of the fundraising we have been doing for our 2 chosen charities (London Humane Society & Canadian Cancer Society). I suggest everyone get involved and support a charity that you care about. It feels good to do it and it doesn't hurt to associate yourself with a worthwhile charitable cause. :)

Thanks Jim. I saw that you are heading out to Cali for the Meguiars trining session in September. I am probably going to and would love to hook up and talk shop and basically have a good time. I have recently completed our new employee manual, all our human resources forms and a tonne of new advertising stuff. If I do make it I can bring copies for you if you like. They may be useful to you at your business.

Thanks Scott. I would like to see some more quality people like yourself get the well deserved attention they should be getting from the magazines and media as well.

I appreciate that Scott, but honestly, as long as my customers are happy that is recognition enough.



Not that I would object to some attention from my peers as well....:p
 
Like I said on the Web-Cars! forum -- Scott and his business are a great example of professionalism to this industry.
