I can assure you that the people of Alabama are proud. Despite what happens in the world, for the next month all we will hear about is Alabama's football team on the local news. It will probably be like one big redneck orgy here, with people bowing down to Bear Bryant and Nick Saban effigies.

On the other hand, the people who could really not care (and who are unfortunate enough to not be able to get away from college football) will be in a state of sensory torture for the next 5 years hearing about this.
