I spent almot two days reading hundreds of posts on AIO and GEPC (is that right - the P21S paint cleaner).

If I were to clay my 2000 Maxima (pearlized white) then use the AIO - would there be much of a reason to use GEPC?

I have seen a couple of posts suggest that AIO and GEPC can be used together, but in some ways they seem to do the same thing (except possibly the sealant part of AIO).

Also - is it necessary or just better to follow AIO with the SG or can you go right to a good carnuba?

Looking for ideas - opinions

Not really a whole lot of point in using GEPC after AIO. You could use it before AIO and have some good results. Actually, if you use GEPC first then there really isn't any need for the AIO. You can just go right on to the SG layer. AIO is basicly just a paint cleaner and any protection that it puts down is minimal in comparison with SG. AIO doesn't remove minor swirls like GEPC can. I have always followed up PPCL (basicly the same thing as GEPC) with AIO just because I love using Klasse so much. It doesn't take that much more time really.

Yeah, what he said about GEPC and AIO.

Well, no, it's not *necessary* to use SG after AIO. You could go directly to carnauba if you really wanted to. But, the idea of SG is to... well, exactly that: a "Sealant Glaze". Its main purpose is to provide acrylic protection and add gloss. And, it does seem to do a decent job of hiding minor scratches/swirls. Personally, I'd use SG. At least a coat or two. =)

On my car, I went: AIO x 1 SG x 2 P21S topper. Pics are here:

(I kinda screwed up the posting, but you should be able to get to the pics... if you use the link in the first post there to get to my pbase gallery, you'll probably want to click on the thumbnails to get a better sense of what it looks like... and excuse the wheelwells, they weren't washed before I added the second coat of SG and topped with P21S... it's cool though, I did them today. :up)

I used P21S GEPC (Paint Cleanser) prior to AIO and got great results..better than woth just AIO. It's so easy to apply, why not give it a try (hey, that rhymes :D ).
