Confused about Menzerna products

I put Menzerna 106ff and SIP on my christmas list and after making a few close observations I had a question for you expert guys! I seen several websites that have the Menzerna Intensive Polish with the Menzerna Final Polish. Is the intensive polish the same thing as 106ff and the final polish is the same as the SIP???

The reason I am asking is because I can only find the 52oz bottle of the 106ff, but the intensive and final polish kits are only 32oz and is what I am looking for.

Thanks in advance!

106ff = Made for Scratch Resistance Clear Coats.

SIP = Made for Scratch Resistance Clear Coats

FPII = Made for conventional Clear Coats

IP = Made for conventional Clear Coats

I believe Menzerna only sells 32/128oz bottles of SIP & 106ff if i'm not mistaken.

FPII & IP I believe you can get in 16/32/128oz.

SIP is basically IP

106ff is basically FPII.

HONESTLY, THIS POST JUST CONFUSED ME. GOOD LUCK. LOL:woot2:

My daily driver is going to be an Audi and they are known for super hard clearcoats. I am assuming that this would fall into the "stratch resistant" category. Am I correct????

I made a mistake... it is not 52oz but 32 oz!! My fault. The reason I was confused is because ONE 32oz bottle of 106ff runs about $49.95 on autogeek, but also on autogeek they have the Menzerna kit that has ONE 32oz bottle of Intensive Polish and ALSO ONE bottle of 32oz final polish for $59.00. What the heck???!!!

Are they completely different products? If so or even if not... Menzerna does a poor job of making it clear exactly that you are getting or what you need!

Any help would be greatly appreicated!

Yes Audi's are known for hard clears. But they are not scratch resistance. I believe Mercedez Benz are the ones that started using it Scratch Resistance clears.

I would suggest getting 106ff for sure. If you are doing this by PC, I would suggest IP. But if you have a rotary I suggest SIP since it will finish down better via rotary than PC. If you are doing this by PC, be prepared to do multiple passes on a certain area.

SIP & 106ff are newER products and are made for a particular reason(scratch resistance). That's why I believe the prices are higher. But everyone uses them on conventional clears with great success. I am one of them.

Stiffdog, How hard is the clearcoat on a 2006 Lexus? What Menz product would you use for light swirling caused from washing and daily use?

PO 83 followed by SIP would be my solution. Might need to use first a light cutting swirl remover pad and then a soft foam pad for the SIP.

OKay so I need to get 106ff and then Intensive Polish since I will be using a PC. I am assuming that the IP will break down easier?

Stiffdog, that certainly answered my question as I have an identical Lexus to the one in the pictures. Speak with you soon.
