concours detailing

I agree with the rest of you guys. I say ABSOLUTELY work on the car especially now that you know the respray is allowed. My wifes black Lexus just got some paint work done and I told the body shop not to touch my car with a buffer. No dust nib removal, no wet sanding....DO NOT TOUCH IT! and these guys are friends of mine hahahaha! THey have absolutely no clue how NOT to put Holograms on cars.

Another client of mine just had me polish his new Aston Martin because the bodyshop detailer assured him that he would fix some scratches. Against my advice he went ahead and let them polish it. he made sure that they billed the dealer for 6 hrs too because I told him how alot of the dealership detailers have such a time crunch to work under. He picked it up with holograms on the entire car hahahah!

I agree with most of the body shop and dealership detailers. I went to a big used car sale a couple weekends ago and everycar from a scion, to cadillac, to an evo had buffer trails and swirls on EVERY car. But they did look nice to the normal eye. But in deffense of a body shop my painter that I always recommend people too passed the sun gun and outdoor pictures, he left no hologramming or buffer trails on the car. So there are very little body shops out there that actually care about their customer cars.
