Computer Program help....

I am trying to move videos from my Image Mixer program that goes with my Sony Handycam over to Windows Movie Maker and I get this error....***??!?!?!



I call Sony and they said to talk to Image Station (maker of Image MIxer) who then tells me to talk to Sony, I call Sony again and they say to call Image Station again....I quit....what is the issue?

You may need to convert these video files from Mpg/MPEG2 to avi for editing or possibly a codec is available

I got a lot of hits that looked relevant to me using different parts of that error message on Google. From the short time I spent searching I think Joshua is on the right track, you are probably going to need to convert the video files.



Keep in mind Movie Maker is a Microsoft product and they have a very long history of not playing well with formats that are not their own

Exactly as said above...Convert to a universal format and everything will live happy together.
