My apologies, Bunky. Didn`t see that post. Looks like I was responding to the others at the same time you posted.
Not sure I follow the question, due to the "staged over time" part. Let me see if I can break down what we did.
Before I do, though, know that the car was in overall decent shape. Aside from minor swirls that I saw, it was kept pretty well. There wasn`t very much the clay bar was picking up. We had a bit of a hard time getting a good example for the show.
We did do the following:
- inspected
- waterless wash. We also addressed the undercarriage. Even the engine oil pan and tranny case were fairly clean. I did manage to soil an MF towel, but it wasn`t too bad.
- the "body" was covered in rexine, so that was treated like vinyl/leather
- the engine cover was polished both using hands (finger pockets) and machine on the bigger surfaces.
- the frame was also cleaned and gone over with the polish and finger pockets. (maybe someone also hit some spots with the machine?)
- interior was well kept, so a once over with some interior product
- I cleaned the headlights as best I could, given the wire mesh screen protectors
- wheels were cleaned w/ waterless wash as well
- tires. They were addressed, but I`m not entirely sure we hit them with dressing. I was um...on break..during that time
- engine was cleaned as well
I *think* the only part we didn`t go over was the top. We didn`t have RaggTop products on hand. During that portion (along with interior) I was on that break
I didn`t want to touch the interior myself, as I`m short and that car sat a too high for my comfort.
So I think it`s fair to say we "detailed" the entire car. All of it was done in the several hours we were there for the filming.
