Compatibility of 3M with Zaino

I recently purchased Zaino Z-2 Pro, Z-5 and ZFX. My car has a few imperfections that I need to take care of before I start using the Zaino products. I was wondering if anybody has used the 3M Machine Polish (39003??) and/or 3M Imperial Machine Glaze (05991) prior to appling Zaino? I am wondering of there will be any bonding issues. I beileve both 3M products say there are no silicones or waxes in the products.
 
This is what I do and did.



Now I use Zaino ZPC then Z5 ( 2 coats) then 2 coats of Z2 pro then Z8. I find that ZPC really cleans and Z5 takes out or hides imperfections then Z2 pro to perfection followed by Z8. You need Z8 and Z6 IMO.



This is what I found, to me if you not going to use ZPC then I like #80. Instead of washing after #80

I wiped my car Z6 then applied Z5 thenZ2 pro then Z8 with no bonding issues.



I also tried 39003 didn't like it, tried FP II a little better, #80 seemed to work best for me.



I also feel that Z5 is very underated, It has always worked extremely great for me. I don't detail too many other cars than my own anymore. My car needed minor care not 30 hours of buffing with 4 kinds of different products( which some cars need ) thats why I love Z5 . Z5 may not work for really bad paint ,but mine needed just that little extra not a rotory beating. I would never be without Z6 &Z8.

Thanks for the response. I have light swirls and two scrathes that I want to get rid of before I apply the Zaino. I am hoping the Z5 will take care of those. I send an e-mail to Sal Zaino regarding the 3M question. He stated the even though there is no silicone or wax in 3M products, the oils they use will cause bonding issues.
 
I am no expert but I would just wash area with dawn before applying the Zaino. You could always use the Z-PC Fusion Dual Action Paint Cleaner Swirl Remover prior. This should remove anything and create a good bonding surface .....Good Luck
 
My Zaino arrives today. I may give the paint an alcohol wipedown before I apply Z-5. I am going to polish it with Menzerna FP and then go to the Z-5. I was actuallu contemplating doing a comparison of Zaino to One Grand Blitz. If I have the time to do it, I'll post pics.
