Comparing FMJ, Wolfgang, Waxing Frenzy

Hi Anthony,

FMJ is my favorite sealant also.

It gives my car a deep wet look. I am looking for a detailing spray for FMJ. Have you found anything that maintains/enhances the wet look that FMJ provides?

AMP......I have some EX but it has been so long since I tried it.....I need to resurrect that also, hoping it's still good, and use it. Thanks for reminding me.

As for spray waxes....none come close to Optimum. It is just out right awesome stuff:up It leaves a very slick surface, even after a week or two, in fact it gets slicker after application.

I did a few washes today and they all had OCW on them from last week and washing was very easy. I use it on chrome, windows and it won't stain trim.

The drawbacks to OCW is that in the winter months it might be difficult to use as colder temps make it difficult to properly mix and you must only do a small area at a time. With Clear Pearl I could spray the entire car down then wipe it off but not so with OCW. The price is also hefty, Irene sells it at $40 a gallon BUT I have done at least 12 cars with a little more than 32oz!

Small inconvenience for a great product and finish. I have found that it outlasts WAUD.

Jay....When I clean out my shelf I'll give you a call:D

Rich,

As noted in my reply to "AMP"...try the Optimum Car Wax. It contains both a polymer and a wax. I am using it tomorrow on top of FMJ on a black Ferrari. We'll see how it comes out:)

I really like the OCW. Super easy to use and very slick. Appearance is similar to Glanz Wax, IMO.

BTW, it beads very nicely!

Even with water on the hood, you can see how nice it looks!
