Comparing FMJ, Wolfgang, Waxing Frenzy

Please say klasse, please say klasse...
Yeah, I had Klasse and Zaino in mind. From CMA's website:
High Gloss Sealant Glaze creates an elastic, non-chip, shrink-proof, heat and scratch resistant -protective seal against ultraviolet rays, salt water, acid rain and industrial pollutants for up to 12 months.

Anthony,

In all fairness, you compared a one-step cleaner wax to 2 sealants. I am not an advocate of sealants unless a wax is applied over them. Most sealants are acrylic or polyurethane based, which suffocates the painted surface and contains no UV protection. In essence, a sealer is an added layer of clearcote which still needs protecting for longevity.

You have to look at what our wax is designed to do. It contains an engulfing agent, which encapsulates the contamination and deposits it to your wipe-off rag. There is no curing time, as the wax is formulated to react immediately upon contact with the surface. It will never get harder than it does in the first 30 seconds...there are no hardening agents in it that need to cure.

It is bonded immediately to the surface with the help of the polymers and silicon (carnauba itself is not attracted to the surface and will not last very long).

Basically, we formulated it for ease of use, long lasting, deep shine ...in one step.

Hi Kim,

I may be mistaken but I thought you had said in our phone conversation that your chemist has available to him "polymers" that are not yet available to others, or did I get that wrong?

Beyond that though is my testing itself. I am not seeking to test "polymers" against "waxes" but rather I was just comparing some new products I had received. I would have also tested the other carnauba I received but I just didn't have time.

I am very anxious to see the results of Waxing Frenzy and to see how it holds up on a finish. I have several more cars tomorrow and I will lay some down on one of them and report back and as I had reported it is very easy to use, goes on easy and wipes off even easier.

Check back tomorrow as I hope to have some WF pics up, thanks:)

Oh, yes, please report back on the Glaze. My kit is coming tomorrow or Friday, and while I've been reading good things about FMJ the last few days, I haven't seen too many mentions of the Glaze. I'm curious if it will be yet-another-smeary-mess (my problem with most glazes), or if the application and removal equals the apparent ease-of-use of FMJ.

Looking forward to your review,

Tort

DUDE......can you believe I stinkin FORGOT my glaze at home today!!!!!:nixweiss

I did do the BMW today and I am resizing pics right now so stay tuned......I have just a few pics anyways

Anthony

OK, I apologize ahead of time for forgetting the Menzerna Glaze but it is in my truck now and will be used tomorrow;)

Here are a few pics of a BMW 7 series I did this afternoon. Polished it with Light Cut, Final Polish and then Menzerna FMJ.

Paint could use a bit more work, at least 2 more hours of polsihing, but all in all it looked very nice.

Here is a picture of the rear truck area.

Anthony, that is correct. Those polymers are what make our wax so unique in its multi-tasking capabilities and surface bonding.

I look forward to your continued reviewing of our products.

Thanks,

Heh. No problem . . . weather here went from mid-70's yesterday, to a forecast for snow and rain this weekend. :( It'll be a while before I get a chance to try the glaze out, but in the meantime I'll be looking forward to your review and some pics.

Thanks!

Scott,

Its not Anthony's pics, I think its Autopia. None of the pics are loading from threads. Look forward to seeing pics once the site is working again.

 Are those invisible pics you posted, Anthony?

Scott,

I noticed late last night that something was up with Autopia as it kept kickingme out of threads and then I couldn't log on at all.

Now there are no pics:nixweiss I am wonderin if I should maybe post them up again??

Anyone know what the deal is?

Anthony

Frenzy which company do you represent ??? I believe Wolfgang Concours to contain UV Protection also.

Just a few drops will produce a show-stealing shine that withstands the elements, ultraviolet rays, infrared radiation, salt water, and environmental pollutants and armors your paint for months.

Well I have resurrected this thread because I saw it mentioned in another thread......figured I would post an update.

In short I do not use the Waxing Frenzy anymore. It's been shelved. The product itself is not bad but it does nothing any better than FMJ or the new Optimum I am using. In fact my Optimum seems to be outperforming the FMJ!

I have also pretty much shelved the Wolfgang in favor of the FMJ as the FMJ just gives me a very nice carnauba look. I am in the process of detailing a black (really jacked up also) 360 Modena and I have used Menzerna products plus the Optimum polish to polish the jet black paint and will top it with FMJ and then experiment with the Optimum car wax over the FMJ now that I have a better feel for the Optimum.

I have cleaned out my product box so now my only levelers are 2 from Hi-Temp, Menzerna PG, IP and FP and Optimum polish, VM, Hi-Temps Poly Spray and Hi-Temps Paint Perfection Glaze.

My wheel well dressing is Best Dressed my tires dressings are Optimums Tire Gel, Hi-Temps Grape and of course one of my fav's...Poorboys BnB.

For waxes I prefer Trade Secret, Pizazz and a very nice wax is Victoria's Crusin Wax and also Optimum car wax.

My sealant is FMJ

So in closing I am not slamming the WF...it's just that it does nothing application wise or appearance wise that OCW or VM can't also do.....hence one less product to buy and carry.

Anthony

Anthony,

I forget - have you tried EX-P? Let me know. Also, any more feedback on how Optimum Wax compares to any other easy to use wax?

Thanks for the input! :D

Cheers,

:scared Hey bro if you want i can pick those up from you and make you some more shelf space.....;)

Let me know. :bounce
