Testing In Progress!

What about 3M Imperial hand glaze? Too late to add it? That's what I used to use now I've moved over to glossworkz and another you guys don't sell.

OMG...do people still use that?? I used it years ago along with Megs #7. If you are adding in IHG you have to include #7.

Great test Todd. Subscribed :bigups

Not me anymore, I used to use it ages ago. Thus why I'd like to see it added to see how it competes with the new stuff since it was the old tried and true classic glaze for ages. I agree, #7 would be cool to see added also to see how the classics compare to the newer glazes.

Currently my go to glaze is glossworkz.

Testing is done, the vehicle has been returned to its rightful owner, and the pictures & info has been gathered.

Imperial Hand Glaze was wicked back in the day. If Black Hole was included in this test though, Ill be more surprised if it looses than if it wins.

I have used all of them except the Wolfs.

If I had to rank them I think it would be

1. Tie: CG Glossworkz / Prima Amigo ( Glossworkz fills like a MOFO and Amigo can correct or fill and leaves a great darkened finish)
2. Poorboys BlackHole
3. XMT Glaze
4. Sonus SwirlBuster (Tried it once and didn't like it)

But I can't wait for Todd's info and thoughts.

Back when I started - it was all about cleaning, correction and topping with the flavor of the month. The general feeling was that anything that covered up rather than corrected was being a hack. Well, I changed my view some time ago and I'll tell you why, if you don't agree, I'll respect your opinion but I'll think you just haven't had "the moment".
Why cover?

You get a daily driver that you KNOW will be seeing the tunnel of swirls many times before you get it back, why keep thinning the clear?

You get a car that NEEDS at a minimum twice what the owner will pay for.

You get an old car that looks like the clear will come off with any buffing.

You get a car that the guy swears needs 14 steps and you know he drives it about 100 miles a month, but he's all into what the latest fab detailing technique due to the internet.

I use CG Glossworkz, it's good, but I'd really like a super glaze that would fill 600 grit sanding, stay in place 6 months with weekly washes and costs $10 a quart!

I saw a post recently on another forum where a guy covered 800 grit scratches with Sonax Perfect Finish. Its a controversal product because some swear it doesn't fill, and some swear it does. The truth of the matter is it DOES, but the fillers are so durable that it takes something like oven cleaner to remove them. Sounds like money in the bank to me.
