Color X and NXT on white

This was the first time that I have used this combo on white and I have to say, that I am pretty impressed with the results. This gave the paint very crisp and clear reflections and also, made the paint feel like silk and very smooth. Sorry, no full shots of truck.

I agree. I use both on my wife's Tacoma. IMO ColorX even by itself is hard to beat. It looks great on my black Hemi too.

:2thumbs: nice work

color x did you used by hand or DA

I used my cyclo with the green polishing pads to apply the color x and the white finishing pads to apply the nxt. Removed both by hand.

Scratch X and Color X are VERY different! Scratch X is a cleaner meant to try to reduce the appearance of light scratches. It's a very involved product to apply, and is really best applied only in spot areas on the car. Color X is a cleaner/wax . . . .

so is color X a polisher?

can I apply by hand.......or should I skip it since apply by hand won't do much?

Do I need to use Color X if i am using Klasse AIO?

I am planning to do

Clay --> ColorX --> K AIO --> Sealant (haven't bought one yet) --> Meguire NXT Tech wax

all by hand......

right now I am just doing Clay --> K AIO --> NXT wax

you guys think I should just save money and forget colorx and sealant or wat?

ok....so i searched "colorx' instead of "color X" gave me some answer......

I guess I can skip Color X

so my question is do i need sealant before NXT tech wax?

A sealant would be a nice idea, but the NXT will remove it though. Go sealant and a carnauba, or just sealant, or just carnauba. Do not forget to prep the paint though.

oh ok.....thx

so i am sticking with my old route

clay -> Klasse AIO -> NXT Tech lol........

another idea is that what if I put sealent as last step?

NXT then sealent.........

last question : is Clearkote Quick Shine a cleaner like Klasse AIO also?

cuz i have a bottle laying around and I use it for clay lube.....kinda waste :sadpace:

Quik Shine is a quick detailer, it is nothing like AIO. It is pretty good stuff..... use it after a wash to add some slickness and a bit of pop.

Sealant's are pretty finicky (hard to bond with previous step). I believe the NXT has oils in it so a sealant will have a hard time bonding. Usually something like Klasse AIO/KSG, Werkstatt Prime/AJ, or a One-Step such as Menzerna's Acrylic Jacket.

So how does ColorX compare to AIO? Ive been eyeballin' both of them and leaning towards AIO.

I think from wat i read......some product will not bond to colorx and everything bond to AIO

I am wondering if there's difference other than that.......

since I am using NXT...maybe next time I should go for cheaper ColorX route instead of AIO

so my new route should be

clay with lube --> AIO (2X) --> NXT (2 or 3 coats) --> (wait a day) then quick shine

sounds good?
