Collinite?

if that is a shot on CLEAN paint then no, it does not look like 5 day old Collinite from my experience. the beading should be very tight and small.

Doesn't look right. :nixweiss

Inspired by a recent thread about the pros/cons of IPA wipe-downs, try this.

Do half a panel with ScratchX again, DON'T IPA wipedown, but just apply 885 over it...two coats for even application.

I wonder if you'll get a better result.

That shot looks more like my car now after me last applying Liquid Insulator last November :)

When i said "rainfall", i mean rain storm. I wonder if the extremely heavy rain had an effect on how the water set on the paint. Because later on the day after the car had been parked for a while in light drizzling, the beads were almost perfect circles.

When you use the mist settings on the hose, you get extremely small beads. When you use the jet setting, there's all different types of beads. When you use just the hose to flood, the water sheets right off. I wonder if the different pressure causes a different effect?

I will try without IPA. thanks
