Collinite Wax Question?

A longtime customer of mine wants a carnauba wax treatment. He is looking for durability over anything else. Never used Collinite but can get it locally at my Meguiar's & 3M store. I re-read my Guru Wax report. They tested Marque D'Elegance ( a pure wax) and Super Doublecoat Wax (a paint cleaner and wax combo). Guru never tested Insulator Wax.



Is IW a liquid wax or a liquid cleaner/wax? Has anyone topped Collinite Wax with P21S/Blitz/Soveran? Thanks.
 
IW is a noncleaner liquid wax. I haven't used it, but the in-law I gave the Volvo to swears by the stuff so it must be really easy to use and durable.



I use the 476S " super double coat" paste myself, and topping it with Souveran using Crystal Mist and the spit-shine method seemed to improve the look. The 476S lasts a very, very long time and the beads will impress people. Put it on thin, I use the PC/Cyclo.
 
If you are looking for durablity then look into the collinite fleet wax. This wax is a carnuba wax but it is designed for use on planes, trucks(18 wheelers) and other fleet type vehicles.

my father uses it and I can attest to its durabilty because after a harsh pa winter when came to visit me in jersey we washed his truck and it beaded water and looked just like it had been waxed. There was a 4 to 5 month period without being waxed and it was washed every 2 to 3 weeks to keep the salt and ash off the truck. Hope this helps

i swear by collinite!!!!!!!!!!!! apply 845 IW and top it with BLITZ wax. or..........................put on BLITZ wax first and then top it with 845. you'll LOVE the simple on/off application of ease and final results!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I have been told that Collinite Fleet wax is the same as Super Double Coat 476, so it is actually more economical to buy the Fleet Wax instead of 476. I have tried the Fleet Wax, it gives a wet look to the car, good durability and very good water beading effect.
 
I've been thinking fo purchasing the IW for winter protection and as the standard for my daughter's Bug, which she doesn't maintain properly, I have to insist she drop it off for me to do. I had unxpectedly good durability from the EX-P/Natty's combo I applied in February of the this year, almost nothing came off when clayed and there was still a nice gloss after washing. I had only renewed the Natty's a few time in between full details with polishing, etc...Would the IW do better? Where do you guys purchase yours for the best price?
 
I bought some IW #845 today locally for $16.95 + tax for 1 pint. I will test on my car's hood prepping first with Menzerna FP II, then applying P21S Carnauba, then topping with IW #845. I should then see its durability, beading and shining properties.



As a side note, at the store a stranger approached me and asked if I ever used Collinite before. I said no. He told me that besides the great beading and shine, the car will clean up very easily even in a rainstorm.

As a reseller and user of Collinite products, I suggest you use their 476S if you want maximum durability or topped it with 845IW to add another coat of protection and some wetness. Both the 845IW and 476S are true waxes with grade A carnuaba and no cleaners.

I have a bottle of 845 on the way to try out, but I've found P21S to be the best carnauba I've used as being a self-cleaning wax. The P21S seems to actually shed dirt/grime during a rain and the paint just looks cleaner afterwards. :up

Just imagine this Collinite is steel amour and P21S is pretty paint on the armour !
