Collinite ordering products ......

Just used 845 on a black pt cruiser, and it looked really good. I love the way 845 goes on so easy; like spreading butter on your car. Plus it's easy to take off. And the beading you get from it is just sooo awesome! I love this product. How did I ever get along without it??!! I highly recommend this.

thats it,, i'm finally ordering this stuff.

keeping the 476 tho for the hood and trunk top....

The Metal Wax is pretty good stuff, it's like metal polish and wax mixed together. I actually haven't used it on a vehicle yet, but have used it on both exterior and interior (building) surfaces.

Can someone post a summary of the Collinite lineup?

I.e., what are the differences, pros and cons of each product?

I love their products, but I would like an idea of the overlap in their products.

I think the metal polish sounds pretty cool and wouldn't mind knowing more about it.

476s is worth a gamble. I find it to have the best durability of Collinite's 4 automotive waxes. It's the only one that I've kept over the years...I gave the other 3 away to friends to play with. They all look decently, but I don't use Collinite for beautification. 476s is strictly for protection...my #16 alternative.

Anyone use 845 with a PC ??

I bought 845 and 476 . Yes I know they supposedly the same except liquid vs paste . I put a layer of 476 on my whole vehicle and must say I am impressed with the looks as well. Now I have to try 845 .

I just used 845 for the first time last night, and I am extremely impressed so far. I can't wait to add a few more coats, and see how it lasts throughout the winter.

I hate to try the 845 over the 476 because I like the look of the 476 so much.

Whats a good QD for going over 476/845 ?? I've used ONR/QD and 425 which left it looking good but I hate to take away from the insane beading the 476 gave me .

#915 = Top of their line (more carnauba than 476). Great paste wax with state of the art durability and luxurious shine.

#476: Excellent paste wax in almost every way. Unbeatable durability.

#845: Great liquid wax. Easy to apply and great shine and durability. Won't last quite as long as either #915/ #476.

Hope this helps

Where did you get this info? This has been argued here before, with some members being told by people at Collinite that these two products are identical and simply have different target markets.

Don't know about that but I've used Collinite waxes for over 40 years and here's what I know about #915. In the pre-internet days Collinite wasn't as easily available as it is today and in most cases you had to order direct. #476 was historically their top of the line, so when #915 came on the market I had the same question as you have. I called Collins Chemical and asked...and that's what I was told. They are all excellent waxes.

I have a hard time believing that someone at a company selling these products would say that. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, but it just doesn't make any sense that they would say it is the same product, we just sell it for more!
