Collinite Is Nuts

I agree that Collinite is good stuff. All my cars get a light coat of 845 roughly every three months.

When I want to remove Collinite for polishing or whatever, I pre-soak everything with Purple Power (diluted with two parts water) and then wash with Dawn.

Hi Temp's prep wash will take it off, but you need to use a high concentration. Same with Citrus Wash & Gloss. But yes, I agree, it is quite nuts. It's the only LSP I've used that I have been *impressed* with it's durability.

I have never seen any LSP hold up to claying. Generally an abrasive meduim is going to remove the less then a micro thick layer of any product. Maybe if you are claying with a QD that adds water beading and slickness it might give that impression, but then again that is just my experience.

Collonite products rock and I love 915 (looks wise) but have never seen 915 go more then 3 months. I have gotten about 4-5 months out of 845/476.

For me,the durability can be good or not so good. Sometimes it lasts and sometimes it doesn't. I say 2-3 months for me easily, but not much beyond that. The thing is you can put a coat down in minutes and it doesn't take much product to do a whole car! 845 looks good too!

I've had one bottle of 845 for 3 years, and I've put a bunch of coats on several vehicles. I still have a quarter of the bottle left also.

I'm about to pull the trigger on some 476 too!

I put a coat of Z8 on top of the 845 that's been on my mom's red HHR since July.and it was unreal. It's very red and SLICK!

I bought 2 cans of 476 last year. I re-coat my boat twice a year & my suv every 3 months. I have not even used 1/2 of my 1st can. Stuff is nutz!!!

I'm pretty sure you'll find the durability of 476S to be much more consistent.
