Collinite #915 or/vs Megs #16

I have not used any of these 2 products . I would like to know more re: depth , durability , shine , concealment of micro marring , ect... any help would be appreciated . ( on black paint ) I know they are both paste waxes but have never seen or heard results or comparisons .

Both have been standard-setters for a lot of years. Although I'm a Collinite fan I don't think you could go wrong with either. I think I might give the edge to 915 in all catagories because I've used it more. Somebody else will undoubtedly have the opposite view. :rolleyes:



The key word in applying either is thin.

Fallguy- I've never used 915 but plenty of Collinite fans think it's their best stuff for black.



I have used lots of M16 and while I do really like it, it's a bit "reflective/shallow/bright" for black, at least in many people's opinions. Ditto for the 845 for that matter, but not as much IMO (I really like 845 on the dark blue beater-Audi).

I agree, keep the M16 and 845 away from black unless you like the mirror look. M26 thrives on black cars. I haven't used 915 on black, but its great on red so it should be great on black.
 
I'd go with 915 out of those two options.



I like 845 on black, gives a bright reflective look. On my silver audi though, I think it is too bright and go for something that gives a wetter look.
 
Fallguy, have you considered the #476S? That's a product with superior durability. And then there's FK 1000 :) ...

...like Bence sez, it's tantamount to adding another layer of clearcoat.

If you should inadvertently over-apply 915 (or any difficult LSP for that matter) or allow it to set too long and it's a PIA to remove, just reapply wax over it and remove immediately. :up
