Collinite 845IW vs CK CMW

Hi guys,

Can somebody help me making a comparison between 845IW and CMW? I'm going to use this wax in a black car. The sealant that I use is EX-P, and I also have Nattys.

Thanks !!

Have not got a chance to use my 845, but CMW will look great on a black vehicle. It will make the paint look deep and wet. Durability is pretty good as well, but probably not in the 845 area. Plus, CMW is very, very easy to work with.

Then, the car will be less protected with CMW, but it will have better looking with it, no?

I don't mind so much the durability of the wax, I don't have any problem waxing after 3-4 monts, and here in Valencia (Spain) the weather is fine the whole year except for 2 months in winter, but the temperatures are about 5-15 ºC, not very high. Then, I want a good wax to replace my Nattys but no as expensive as Souverän.

Thanks !!

i used my 845 on a silver dodge last week and was very impressed with the results ease of use and overall coverage by little use of product. i washed with a concauction of sonus freebee i got with my purchase of sonus pads aio bubble bath duragloss 961 i think??? and a little 425 mixed. dunno if thats a good mixture or not but i just love doin stuff like that. i think the aio keeps the suds way down but still a great wash imo i used tol clay menz ip 425 menz fp2 425 aio ksg 845 i will take pics of it sees how its my fatherinlaws and i can see it from my com. anyhow i used the 845 on the hood, i didnt think itd turn out as good as it did thumbs up to whomever it was that told me to get 845 for a rv i recently detailed i love the stuff. i prefer it to bahama mama by far and even trade secret.

I wouldn't say less protected, just not protected as long. If you reapply CMW every 3 months, you will be fine. CMW has a darker, deeper look than the brighter, reflective look of 845. It just comes down to personal preferrence, both are really good products. I prefer the look of CMW on black but that doesn't mean everyone will.

Then, the results I think will be very similar to apply Nattys over Ex-P. EX-P gives a very shine and reflective result, and when you put Nattys over it, the shine decreases and the wet look and depth increases. I think you're saying the same effect, aren't you?. With EX-P and 845IW, if I understood ok, I'll have very nice reflections, good depth, a incredible beading. But if I use CMW, I'll have a deeper result, darker colour, less shine and more wet look, no?

Could you compare Nattys and CMW, please?

Thanks my teachers !!

What do you think about this comment that a online friend said me hours ago after askinh him about what wax he recommends, P21S, CK CMW or Collinite 845IW:

The Clearkote on non-metallics. The Collinite will give the best protection and is quite a shiny wax, or the P21S is just a good all rounder, that works well on most colours. You won't go wrong with any of these.

I was decided to buy CMW, but my car is metallic black, and maybe CMW is not the best option based on my friend's comment...

Thanks !!
