Collinite 845 vs 476 on black

I picked up some Collinite 845IW from my local Advance Auto Parts for $11, going to try it out this weekend topped with some Duragloss AW I also just got from CarQuest.

I will compare the looks to my usual FK Pink Wax / FX-100 routine. I am a little concerned as Pink Wax offered some hiding ability in layers (usually put two on with FX100 in between and maybe a third a week later after a wash). Very Excited to see what all this AquaWax talk is all about.

I have not used either yet, :chuckle:, but I was wondering if anyone had noticed any filler ability for light scratches in 845 and/or 476?

Never used 845 on a finish that needed filling, but the 476S does a little. Most "heavy carnaubas" like 476S do a bit of filling (and IIRC Blitz is supposed to be good for this) but IMO you shouldn't expect miracles. I *do* choose 476S for vehicles that need stuff hidden though, seems to maybe work a little better for this than #16.

LOL, they sure do stink, but like one of the member on forum said, "it's not like you're going to eat it" :) Since the Collinite has great durability (just remember to do multiple layers), I don't mind the smell. However, the weird thing it that it smells like solvents and chemically abrasive stuff, but it's actually a pure carnauba wax. It can't even remove minor water spots from drying :) But it would be nice if Collinite could smell like the cinnamon smell of Mothers Showtime shine or the grape smell of Meguiars Endurance Gel :)

Screw the smell, its a man's wax not some emo concentric product.

Yes, you can eat carnuaba too ! http://www.skittles.com/products/index.jsp Its no joke !
