Collinite 845 and Optimum Products

I'd be interested to hear you results with 845 and OCW since that what I am currently using. I haven't used any other wash in so long to compare to, so maybe your results can provide some info on the combination of these

I probably won't get to wash the car for another week or so,but I will let you know how it turns out.

I love OCW. It smells good, suds up like crazy, and leaves a slick and shiny finish behind. It was a whopping 12 bucks for a 32 oz. bottle which was a steal for something that awesome.

Yesterday I cleaned up my wife's car,but I didn't wash my daily driver which I used 845 on about a month ago. I knew it was probably going to rain today, and we would probably be going on a long trip also. I did spray the hood off to test the beading, and to my surprise it beaded like a champ after probably 8 inches of rain in the last month. I thought I had finally gotten 845, or anything else for that matter, hold up to the rain here or work like it was advertised.

It has rained today though, and the beading is very poor. Almost nothing on the top as a matter of fact. I just don't get it. I did have to park somewhat near/underneath a pine tree, but not directly under it. This is incredibly frustrating. Maybe the Optimum Car Wash will help refresh the wax,but it is really shot on the roof.

All kinds of stuff is written on autopia in regards to 845 and everything in between. In the end tho, it comes down to your own personal testing and what your eyeballs tell you, regardless of what everybody else says. The only opinion that matters is yours. Always always test for yourself and come to your own conclusions on any product you buy.

If Collinite is causing problems , then the other choice is Duragloss. It is funny that 845 will last 1 month the first time you try it and the next time you use it it lasts 5 months.

i agree with your statement on one condition. When a member is searching for information on a product that they would "LIKE TO PURCHASE" it may be fair to say that different results for different people may sway their decision.

it's difficult to decide on 1 or 2 products with a budget and be disappointed in the results ( no matter a compound, glaze, wax, sealant, tire shine etc )

I finally got around to cleaning up my daily driver this past week. The Collinite 845 I used was still beading really well after a LOT of rain in the two months since it was applied. I washed the car with Optimum Car Wash, and most of the beading came right back like it had just been applied. I went ahead and put another coat of 845 which should get me through January and February for sure. This is by far the best results I've ever gotten from 845 or 476 either for that matter.

66#1- Glad it's working out so well. Yeah...I've never heard of their conventional shampoo messing with Collinite, but rather it's their Optimum No Rinse that can cause issues.
