Collinite 476s!

I havent tried 476 but Ive tried Insulator wax. I like it a lot , its easy to use and gives a great gloss, it seems to give a hard finish like plate glass ,and it beads forever. Its a great winter wax when you cant wax every month

Keep in mind a MSDS isn't going to list every ingredient. I think it is only those that are considered hazardous in some way. A trade secret ingredient probably isn't going to be listed as well as many others such as water, carnauba, etc.

I know for a fact that a key ingredient in a durable Sealant is Amino Functional Silicone.

Here is a link about them. And I have never tried this product the link goes to. I just find the article interesting.Amino Functional Silicone
Hey thanks, that link is an interesting read. You don't see too many articles like that around. :xyxthumbs

I always felt Collinite needs S100 for the pop it lacks. The two combined make a nice combination.

The Collinite for the swirl muting and durability and the S100 for the brilliance. I do the Collinite #915 every 8 weeks and the S100 every two weeks.

When I tried 476s it looked ok, but the next day I had to slap some S100 on.

Recently, 476s has been demoted to chrome wheel duty only. But then again the winters in "The Big Easy" aren't that harsh.

I just tried the Collinite Marque d'elegance paste today and was impressed to say the least. I've previously used the Pinnacle products and wanted something a little more durable for the winter vehicle ('96 Pathfinder). I put a coat of Collinite on that the brilliance jumped! Outstanding stuff. But...I think you need a good wax surface with no swirls to start with before you embark on Collinite products. They seem durable and high gloss but need a good base to start with. Just my $0.02

I'm gonna try the Insulator wax on my Mustang Mach 1 wheels. From what I've read, it should be the ticket for shedding brake dust.

Supposedly the wax you used and the 476 I used are similar or the same, sort of like a P21S vs S100 deal.

Which Pinnacle products were you using to compare the two?

Goodnclean: I have been using the Pinnacle Souveran and really like it: especially applying and buffing, which is very easy. I've also got the liquid Souveran that I use on the wife's Pathfinder. It seems like the Collinite product has a "harder" shine...if that's the right phrase.

The threads I've read about Collinite are pretty positive, especially for a winter type wax that will hold up when the weather pounds the finish.
