Well, I did spit shine a few coats with near frozen water so I hope that did it. The image on my paint is definitely not clear though but it's got dazzling depth and wetness. I'll go for clarity too next time around.

And the cold water does not help the wax to harden? I have to use twice the effort to remove wax after the cold treatment.

Not really. The reason the post-chilled water wax removal is so difficult is because you are actually "moving (leveling)" the wax on the surface. Buffing without this treatment one is removing residual (dried) wax and some residual solvent that acts like a lube. The chilled water technique removes these buffing aids. Another factor to take in consideration is that you may also be removing some of the visual enhancing oils. Be careful, the visual enhancements created by "leveling" may not be as pleasing as one that has its full compliment of oils.



Nevertheless, this technique of watering down a waxed surface is an excellent means to refine the final appearance of a waxed surface. A technique we used back in the 60's on single-stage paints. This was not something we thought up. In my case this technique was passed on by my father to me.:2thumbs:
