cobra supreme guzzler

Great towel. I have had some for years. My older ones don't have the silk edge and I use them now for my boat and jetskis...

Yes indeed, I got one last year and works great with my Big Blue Microfiber Drying Towel's when drying off cars.

These are the best. I let a buddy of mine detail his car one day and he grabbed the guzzler to apply this red turtle wax he bought and used my guzzler to apply it. Needless to say I was not happy about that.

Has anyone been able to get anything else that works half as good as the guzzler? The absorber works, but is too synthetic for my taste. I prefer microfiber, but other MF "drying" towels just never soaked up as much water as the guzzler does.

I just got one of these as well and it trumps any drying towel I've ever had. I've been using the Griot's version and it works well, but this is even better. Great purchase.

I have and use, the CG Gray Matter drying towel. It is a great towel, and comparable to the guzzler for sure.

I also use Microfiber Tech's waffle weave drying towel, another great towel to dry with!

In starting to use more / smaller waffle weaves instead of one big one. I picked up a set of 10 from MF Tech. I think they are 16x25 or something. They are thinner then Guzzlers, but you can ring them out very easy and they absorb water well. It's tuff to ring out a Guzzler.

Plus I have a lot of them, so I just can grab a new one.

Just ordered these on BOGO as well. Hope they are an upgrade from my Adams drying towels that started to push water around after about 5 washes.

I hate it when I order stuff and turn around and see it on BOGO the very next week  I just ordered about $100 worth of MF's including this towel and every single one of them are now on BOGO.

I have used every drying towel on the market (well not EVERY towel but at least 20) and the Guzzler is the best I have tried. It is very soft and ultra-absorbent.

I have used the guzzlers and other MF WW towels and have gotten less than satisfactory results. I’m a weekend warrior, not a pro detailer; however, I found the majority of MF WW’s to have one major flaw.

The dirt and grit remaining on the car after the wash is trapped in the fibers of the MF material and becomes abrasive. You cannot rinse these particles out of MF during the drying process, they remain in the towel, become abrasive, and cause marring and swirl marks.

I found that only a natural chamois has all the characteristics to minimize this from happening.

1. Chamois are soft and non-abrasive

2. One side of the chamois has NAP to pull dirt particles away from the your paint (synthetic chamois, like the absorber no not)

3. You can rinse the dirt pulled into the nap in a bucket of clean rinse water (use your grit guard)

4. You can wring out the chamois (where you cannot with any MF WW towel) and continue drying the car

Anyone else share this perspective?

good drying towels. took the two of them to dry the xterra. no issues to speak of. only other one to compare them to are the sonus der wunder drying towels. i have used them once also. took two of them also. (nice part of the sonus is they are sold in a 2 pack).

comparing the two.......its really close. both were great. if i had to choose it would be the SONUS.

I don't! :) haha

Seriously though, I've never had any issues like that with my microfibers. How are you washing them, what kind of detergent, are you presoaking before washing? Lots can factor in to get a perfect towel out of the washer!:rockon

So, I was going to do a comparison between the Guzzler HD and the regular 20x40 Guzzler. However, I was able to completely dry an entire Suzuki Grand Vitara (Mid-Size SUV) with the Guzzler HD alone. No streaking and it also cleaned up any little water spots with only slight pressure. I'll test out the Guzzler on the same vehicle once I do my post-polish wash and should be able to get a good comparison of the two from that.

I use the Sonus drying towels and have great results. Great drying towel.
I haven't tried the Cobra Supreme Guzzler, but I hear nothing but good things about the Cobra towels.
