Co-workers looking at me funny

My car was looking rather dusty due to it not being washed in a week. My plan, today, was to wash my car when I get off work but then realized I had to fix my back fence after work and wouldn't have enough time to wash my car. I quickly decided to take some UWWP+ in a pump sprayer and 10 plush MF towels and put them in my trunk and I'll just do a WW at work during my lunch hour.

Lunch time came so I parked my car in the shade and started getting to work. As co-workers were leaving for lunch they couldn't help but wonder what in the world I was doing. Didn't want to get into too much detail so I just told them I was washing my car. Some of the remarks from them were, "How can you wash it without using water?" "How can you clean your car without soap?" When I told them about WW they just walked away probably thinking I'm crazy.

It took me about 25 minutes but the task was over and my car looking good again. I didn't apply tire dressing because I'm still in the middle of a showdown between 3 dressings and didn't want to alter the outcome. As lunch time came to an end people started arriving and couldn't help but notice the shine on my car. One by one they came to ask me how I was able to do that. They were very impressed by the product and asked me where they can get some. Wrote down ACC website on a post-it and they were on their way.

This is my first time doing this at my work but at first didn't seem weird for me doing it. After giving it some thought I could see why they gave me some weird looks. Oh well, the important thing here is that my car is clean. :D

Here's a quick pick of the end result.

tell them your are OCDetailing and that this is normal for detailing addicts.
(car looks great by the way:bigups)

Absolutely nothing wrong with that Gabriel :D

My neighbors think I am nuts for washing in 45 degree temperature.

Wouldn't it be great to live in a neighborhood full of detailers? :D

"Excuse me neighbor, do you have an ounce of UWWP I can borrow?" :lol2:

I do not see the neighbors wash cars much. My guess most take them to a local swirl-o-wash. My driveway is long so it is hard for them to see much of what I do. The neighbor knew I was going something in the garage due the noise of the polisher.

At work, those that take care of their cars all park at the far end of the parking lot and most follow the rule of leaving one space between cars. I noticed someone has a nice somewhat new (definitely a second owner) black Mustang...unfortunately it is holograms.

One of my neighbors has a mobile detailer come and wash his vehicles every other week. My other neighbor rarely washes his truck but I shiver when he does because he uses 1 bucket, long washing brush and to top it off I've seen him use laundry detergent at times. He spends a total of 5 minutes to wash his truck. He'll wash the body first then scrub the wheels and tires with the same brush.

Luckily I work at Palm Beach Motoring Group. Nobody would raise an eye brow! Cleaning our cars on our lunch break is common practice! :bigups
