I'm having this battle with myself as to what I should use on the car when I get a break in the weather. I am now using VM/EX/S100 with good results. I think I am going to go with some 1Z PP to remove some light swirls, then protect. My question is, what is everyone's opinon as to what really gives a red car pop and depth? If the concensus is that EX is my best choice, then fine. Otherwise, I am open to suggestions of any sort. Lastly, is 1ZPP too harsh?

Thanks a BUNCH!

My favs are:

S100 and Pinnacle Souveran. :bounce

They just seem to make red look incredible.

Some pics of the results on my red 300zx can be seen at:

It is really going to depend on what kind of look you are going for. I prefer a carnauba for the deep. dark wet look and in my opinion nothing does that better than Meguiars #26.

Here is a pic of my laser red Mustang after using Meguiars #9 swirl mark remover, #7 show car glaze and #26 high tech yellow wax.

Thanks for all of the help! Not sure if I wanna turn back to Zaino, but I will see. I am thinking of something I haven't tried before, such as Klasse or simply trying Platinum. Any thoughts on these?

Souveran as the topper.

Souveran "pops" best for me on my Thunderbird.

I've tried lots of different waxes, but Souveran is best for red.

Trust me.

Souvern followed by S100, I love both, but the depth and slickness of the paint when using souvern is better then when I use S100.

I disliked Zaino on my red Mica corolla... Made the color look really flat and dead, but highly reflective... Even non-detailing people noticed the difference when I switched back to wax.

I liked Klasse AIO + IHG + 26 the most for red...

I like Klasse a lot better than Zaino on mine.

Not bad for a car thats almost 13 years old :)

Here is S100:

Klasse AIO and Platinum UPP:

I think any of those combinations look real good.

I'll vote the AIO/SG topped with Souveran!

For the first time I have just tried AIO and SG on our 2004 X5 and it looks liquid and reflective with just one layer of SG. I can't wait untill adding several more layers of SG and then topping with wax.

Cheers,

Aurora, i was wondering if I would be the first to mention BF...I second the BF, maybe with S100 on top.....
