ClearKote revisited

Looks like the word out there is 'If it's liquid it'll remove everything under' I never saw Zaino, is it paste? I have Klasse SG, it's far from being paste... Why would we be buying so much expensive products if they'd be so easy to remove? What not use TW only and forget about ALL the rest?

I think it has to do with the type of carriers in carnaubas vs. synthetics.

I haven't noticed that liquid waxes like Meguiars #26 or Carnauba Moose remove the filling properties of glazes and polishes, but I can't say for sure they don't affect polymers and sealants. I've never noticed any degradation of durability when using a carnauba in liquid form over a sealant, but no matter what goes on my car or my customers, I normally rewax every 2-3 months anyway.

Scottwax....I was just wondering what you use to get bugs and tar off the front and rockers. Also do you clay everycar???

Thanks, Dave

P.S. Your vehicles look emaculant as normal!

Usually QEW does a pretty good job on mosty bugs, whatever is left behind (tar too), I use regular Moose Wax. It has light chemical cleaners and if I am just doing a straight wash, I can clean that stuff off and MW adds protection at the same time.

I have used Greased Lightnings Orange Blast Degreaser for removing heavy tar, cut 4:1 with water, rewash and go over the whole area with Moose Wax.

Just want to confirm, so VM, #7, CMW is better than just VM & CMW??

Honestly, if #7 is your choice, I wouldn't even bother. VM and CMW are such easy on and off products that using #7 is liable to frustrate you to no end. If you can get some #81 Hand Polish or #3 Machine Glaze, it would be worth experimenting with.

I've never used anything between VM and CMW yet. I have been contemplating using #81 as in-between step. I've been so satisfied with the VM/CMW combo though I just haven't taken the extra time to play around with adding another product to the mix.

You know what I don't like VM-CW.

The water beads. They are to big.

We had a big rain Thursday (10/9/2003) in Houston. My red vette was beading like crazy but the beads were to big for my taste. I like how P21S beads better.

I know this is not something will stop me for using Clearkote. I just finish my red vette and use VM plus P21S and QS. It looks fantastic.

DACP

3M PIII MG

Menzerna FP

VM

P21S

QS

and then WOW :bow

:xyxthumbs

:nixweiss It has been raining here on and off for the past week and a half and the VM/CMW combo on my car right now is 4 weeks old and I haven't even washed my car for more than 3 weeks and the beads were small and tight on my car.

I know what you mean about S100 though, definitely some nice beading as witnessed by this pic:

Is it possible to see a comparison between CK CMW and S100, Nattys, Collinites... in the same car in photos?

Thanks !!

In this context it is dated. There are new and updated products in CK's range, so a new thread is more beneficial IMHO.

Ok, no problem. But, is there a product that update CMW? The problem is that I didn't know the acronym... now I found a lot of reviews, and my interest for Collinite 845IW is changing to CK CMW.

Thanks and sorry....

This thread is two and a half years old...

ok sorry man, but this is the second funniest thing I've seen on the forum today (aside from fukken wax).

well it's been a long day, and your observation and concise response just struck me as particularly amusing.
