Clear Coat?

I took My Aurora to the Olds dealer for routine maintaince. They apparently dont use fender covers, and drug a hose over the fender, Scratched it all up. I was furious. Anyway they sent it to the body shop and compounded out the scratches.My question is, How will this affect the longevity of the paint? What about the clearcoat?.....Needless to say, they have seen me and my money for the last time......

It depends on how much clear the dealer removed. If the dealer removed more than .3 mill of clear the clearcoat will fail down the road. :down

I figured as much, I am thinking of adding a Razzi ground effects kit, probably in the next year, and will probably just repaint the whole thing then..
