clear coat failure on rims??

just to ramble off here...

i had new rims put on my vehicle which looked great. they only had apprx 5,000 miles on when i noticed the clear starting to peel (which only gets worse). yeah it p'd me off. just two of them did this.

the problem is they came from the U.S. ( i live in canada) and it wont be feesible to pay shipping for the warranty SO, can these just be taken to an autobody shop to be repaired right?? any comments guys....(and girls!)
 
try to contact the mfg. first and see if there is anyone in Canada that they will recommend for warranty work. If not then you'll need to find a company that can chemically strip the wheel and then recoat it... boyshops may be able to attempt it but it won't be the same as someone who works exclusively on stripping and coating wheels and other parts....
