Hi, I heard that you can use baking soda to get bird crap, tar, road grime, etc. off or you cars surface, I use it to get off the bird crap....will it hurt my clear coat???

Baking soda is a mild alkaline and could be used to remove thing like bugs, bird bombs, tar and such. I think the paint would be fine but you'd probably need to reapply wax in the areas. Make sure it is dissolved completely in water before using so it is not abrasive.

They have dedicated cleaners for that type of stuff. You could try a quick detailer or a bug and tar remover with a microfiber towel. The goal is to remove the contaminants without marring the surface.
