what do you all recomend for cleaning glass?(towels and products) also is it possible for microfiber or paper towels to scratch glass? i tried using Meguiars glass towels but, it left alot of small peices of lint on my window.

What I've been doing to my windows is wash the windows first when you wash the car, after that, use Stoners IG, then apply AIO with a m/f applicator pad and remove with a vroom m/f towel from target. I don't use these towels for nothing else but glass, under the hood, and sometimes on the dash but not often. After I apply and remove the AIO I apply a coat of UPP and let it sit on there for a couple hours and remove. Makes cleaning them the next time around a breeze. I also do this to the front and back windshields AND the side windows. Works great. I've tried EX-P and UPP on the windshields and you would be happy with either I'm sure. I keep up with S&W and UGE. Works like a charm. I use the UGE on the windows because it's suppose to have some small amount of UPP in there so it would pro-long the protection. HTH's

i'm new the detailing world so what does AIO,UPP,UGE stand for? i'm prettys sure that the S&W and EX-P are Poorboy products.

I've currently become a huge fan of S&W and a microfiber on glass. It does an awesome job. I used to use ClearVue and newspaper. What a PITA that was.

For cleaning glass I like the following glass cleaners:
NXT glass
1z glass cleaner
Rain-X foaming cleaner

For window cleaning I MF towels which are little plush followed by the a glass towel.

Toweling:
WW MF

Chemicals:
Adam's DS
EO 20/20
Hope's Perfect Glass
PB's S&W
SprayWay
Stoner's IG

Detailer's Pride High Performance Glass Restorer - Have just added but have not yet tried.

I've found the key is to getting the glass truly clean initially. This may require the use of a combination of products and making multiple passes. I've had windshields that have required the use of a paste of Bon Ami for the initial cleaning. After that, unless the glass is continuously subjected to harsh environmental conditions, maintenance can be just a quick wipe with a dampened MF on the interior glass and drying following a normal car wash.

Lately I have been using S&W followed by Stoners IG, and I cannot be happier. The S&W is used to clean the windows (possibly with a shot of Bird Sh#t Remover) and then the IG is used to finish them off.

When doing a full wash, I have applied the UPP as well and had good results. But when just doing touch-ups, I simply S&W and IG.

I am loving IG as well, that stuff is great as you spray it on and wipe, no streaking!

For the interior glass I use NXT Glass Cleaner and a waffle weave glass towel followed by Megs new Glass Towel. Works great. Used to use Stoners IG but find NXT to be better.

For exterior glass I just wash the glass with soap and water like the rest of the car. I then use the water blade to dry (glass only) and follow with the damp waffle weave that I dried the car with. Never streaks or spots. Once a month I clay the windows and follow with VM or AIO and recently I have been using Mothers Cleaner Wax instead of VM or AIO. Mothers Cleaner Wax does a great job of polishing the glass and leaving a slick finish. Makes it easier to clean next time I wash to.
