Cleaned up my LeBaron (56K? LOL)

Okay, so it's not mine, YET! It's my brother's, and he wants to sell. The car is too rare to let go and it's been in the family forever, so I'm gonna buy it from him

I AM GOING TO POST THIS AT SEVERAL FORUMS...I'M INCLUDING INFO TO INTRESTS ALL THE FORUMS, JUST SKIP PARTS THAT DON'T INTREST YOU.

THE CAR:

1992 Chrysler Lebaron GTC

2.5l SOHC Turbo, 5 Speed.

I don't think my brother has done as much as wash it since he repainted it many years ago.

The car was stored for about 4 years, and finaly we were able to get it running again. It recieved a full built head with Mopar Purple Cam shaft, and port/polish. It still needs a vacuum manifold, and a radiator to take care of the overboosting and overheating.

It is starting to show it's age...definately.

THE DRIVER'S WINDOWS DOES NOT GO DOWN. It will go up, but not down...Don't yet know why. The driver's rear window has a broken regulator and no longer is powered. It rattles and creeks, and the covert top leaks.

But she pulls like a BANSHEE!, and has no problem showing up and rice burner.

DETAIL PROCESS:

3M Car Wash Soap Wash

3M Clay using Soap as Lubricant

3M Car Wash

3M Perfect It 3000 Rubbing Compound with Soft Cutting Wool Pad (Green)

Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion

Klasse AIO - Twice.

-Pinnacle Interior Products

Nothing too extraordinary, but it looks nice. The wheels are in really rough shape, and after Pinnacle Gel cleaner, a brush, and even a scuff pad...thats as good as the came. The mudflaps are equaly as rough.

The outside needed MINIMAL correction, and looks great. The convertible top needs to be replaced and I did nothing with it.

Did it previously belong to John Voight?

Nice work.

Don't know a John Voight.

My mom bought this car in '94, drove it till '99, when she crashed it. Minor crash, she just spun out in the winter and hit a curb. It totaly twisted the chassis and ripped the convert top...thats why it's needs replacement. My brother bought it back from the insurance company when they totalled it. He straightend it and repainted the whole thing. He drove it till about '03 when it overheated and sciezed a valve.

It sat in storage from '03 to '06 when we finaly got the head done and got it running again.

Now it's a daily driver again, until winter...Then it's back to storage.

The guys at turbododge.com just told me that there were only 250 LeBaron GTCS Turbos made in '92. Only a hand full were white on white on white, and even fewer came with leather/cd player combo. It's a rare, bad ***, piece of sweetness.

unless the lips of those wheels are polished(which form the pics it looks that way) ide hit them with some wheel acid.

otherwise (never thought ide say this) thats a nice le baron.

Did you apply Klasse AIO twice to ensure uniform coverage? I ask because KAIO cannot be layered.

Any why would you bother applying PPCL before it!!

That aside, the car looks nice and the white has come a treat. I think if you research the usage of some of your products you will get even more impressive results!!

Geoff

It was Klasse All In One, then Klasse AIO Gloss Enhancer, the red bottle, then the grey. I also had Race Glaze, which is whats normaly used on the car, but I tried something different.

I used PPCL before hand because it's a final glaze to correct anything that might come back from the Rubbing Compound...It was either that or swirl mark remover. I think you get a little better reflection out of Pinnacle than you do with the SMR.

I have Pinnacle Souveran Paste, but didn't feel like using it, because the car is going into winter storage soon. I figured it would be kind of a waste.

For a white car and a crappy camera I think the reflections look pretty nice. I am gonna polish a co-workers truck next week. It's a darker color and hopefuly I can prove that I'm not a newbee.
