Clean up after homeless guy washed the bugs off the car

Ronkh

Wax Waster
Had this all written up and then lost it. Arghhhh

Anyway, I went to take my GF's car for an oil change. On way stopped to get gas. While there I went in and got some coffee. Come out and there's a homeless guy washing the bugs off the hood, front bumper etc with some sort of spray and a nylon netted window washer squeegee.

After a few choice (loud) words I went to dealer for oil change. Told the writer not to wash it. What a look

Well GF has 2 young daughters so when I got home I decided it was too hot (sun over head) to do car right then and hit the inside. Since it had glitter, goop, food, melted chap stick and a bunch of other crap.

i'm sure your girlfriend requested a complete ipa wipe down after that encounter, not that you need any excuse to detail a ride. :D

Nice job Ron! Think I enjoyed the selfie the most. Great looking paint! What's the durability you're getting out of Blacklight? I know you top it with Natty B, but just curious how the glaze/sealant holds up in the Florida sun/heat?

You didn't give the guy tip for the bug remover.....:notme:

He likely gave him unsolicited advice. One would that detailing would be a good way to get a job and earn some money but I the cost of chemicals (non-detailing related) probably eat up the money.

Looks great Ronkh. Sorry for your ordeal

On a side note. Glitter has NO PLACE around an automobile. You need to nip that in the bud

Looks great Ron. I could only imagine how angry it would make me (or you for that matter) to come out and see a homeless man cleaning your vehicle in such a manner.

These homeless people in Austin are always trying to clean my windshield at a light and I have to be that guy who is yelling at a homeless person at a light but people have no idea what's going on. haha.

I'm all about clean cars and material goods, but starting WWIII because a human is trying to make a few dollars is a little much. How about WWII.5?

I had a similar, although different scenario about 5 years ago, maybe 6... Guy tried to the same to me. I pulled over (driving my HHR), gave him both wash buckets and my gallon of Duragloss, big blue drying towel and spoke to the manager of the Hess gas station (friend of mine) who agreed to let this guy wash cars on his property.

I am not sure what happened to him now, but he washed cars every day at that Hess for like 2 years, got a little tent, and did a pretty good job.

C quartz and gtechniq c1 smart glass you don't have to worry. In the city they always go for the windshield. I don't mind, after I pull away one click of wiper an presto, perfect again... Plus I'm one of those that can't say no.
