Clean Interior

I really like Meguiar's #40. Decent cleaning ability and a rich, medium shine. You can often find it OTC at an auto parts store

What does matte look mean? A new fresh not shiney just new looking interior? The OPP is also a white liquid, so spraying that on interior might get white spots in little areas that were missed and not buffed out. The megs QID is clear spray. I had that problem with the leather, the white liquid would get into the leather hole pockets, so you could see it somewhat. I then switched over to a clear dressing for seats.

Matte look means less shiney. It's a more subtle look. When applying OPP, or anything like that, always apply to applicator first. This prevents any the product from building up in any certain area. If you do this, you don't have to worry about the product clogging holes in leather or any other area.

what is this showing? The middle looks lighter, obviously has nothing applied. The CG NS has less cracks shown, i dont know how this comparison helps in choosing.

You were asking about shine, correct? Well thats a picture of OPP to give you an idea what it looks like.

oh I see, I wasnt even really thinking about the shine between the 3.

:2thumbs:

I just wanted to add that with the TOL Best Dressed. I have only applied it one time on my car and have not needed to apply it again in 6 months. It has lost no shine since 1st applied. It is not white and leaves NO residue. I only have to dust with a MF weekly and mist once every couple weeks with QID just to add UV protection for peace of mind. But seriously it is better than any of the white liquid protectants I've ever used. I have a 4oz. sample of OPP but have never tried it because the TOL hasn't worn away at all!http://www.topoftheline.com/besvindres.html:woohoo:

Megs QID isnt meant to be used as a dedicated protectant. Its meant for the day to day cleaning to keep your interior looking freshly detailed and looking great.

I used megs #40 and Natural Shine on my interior.

303 gives a satin finish, Vinylex gives a semi-gloss. I don't like gloss, so I dilute 303 to 25% in water, but you can go full strength if you want.

so what should i get! It seems that people apply protectants every few months, so i use QID for every time i want to clean my interior?

1Z cockpit premium, CG NS, 303, DP IP, OPP, lots of choices. Pick one.

1Z cockpit premium looks interesting, is that a clear liquid spray? So that would be a cleaner and a protectant better than QID?

should i get OPP+, 303 or Megs Natural shine? Why is this such a tough decision? I guess those are the protectants and i will use megs QID weekly.

I got fk1 #108 sample i guess 2oz with my #425 order. I guess i dont need to get OPP+ anymore. See how long this will last and I will try it. Seem to have good reviews on this also.

Over a given amount of time, get all three of them. See what you like best and stick with it.

Everyone likes a different amount of shine. I like a deep, matte finish. Natural shine fits my needs just find and I can find it locally at Auto Zone.
