Claying With A Polisher

The Grand Marquis Man
As I was reading Jngrbrdman's thread, "Detailing according to the Jngrbrdman", I followed a link to OCDetails that he suggested. There, a tutorial about claying suggests using Clay Magic (sold at premiumautocare.com). I Googled on "Clay Magic", and found its web site.

At that site, http://www.claymagic.net/ClayMagic-Products.htm , it sells a product called the Clay Magic® Power System. It is a foam pad for a PC for claying.

Has anyone clayed with the Power Pad (or any other pad)? How can I adapt power claying to a Cyclo?

I think I remember a thread on this from a few months ago. The cons far outweighed the pros. I would suggest claying only by hand.

I wouldn't, but hey its your paint. It wont save bugger all time, but the odds of tearing scratches into your paint is increased quite highly. In detailing, some things should be done by hand IMO, and claying is one of them........

Ouch. Oh well, I didn't need to spend the money anyway... :lmfao

Thanks!

As someone who just this past weekend scratched up their hood when claying by hand, I'd never use a polisher to clay. no no no ...

I'm with everyone else on this one. I will never clay my or any other car for that matter with a polisher....I mean how hard is it to clay by hand anyway :dunno .As dalmore said you can do damage even by hand as I have :wall I couldn't imagine if you caught a piece of debris in the clay as the polisher was moving it around...ouch
