Clay question...

When I am removing my multiple layers of Klasse should I clay it before or after I go through all the steps to remove it? I was going to try a little "ABC" treatment first and then clay it. I just want to get it as clean as possible before the Blackfire goes down. I plan on taking some good pics durring the different stages for reference. :)

IF you are gonna use ABC to remove Klasse supposedly you do not need to clay per Ron K unless you have some stubborn contaminates....So based on that I would after ABCing check the paint using the baggy method and very good eyes and clay those areas that need it if any needs it at all.:xyxthumbs

Since I don't have the actual "ABC" stuff I was going to do the poor man's ABC. Vinegar, Dawn, Gold Class wash. ;) I think that is the way it goes, yes? I remember a post about it but I can't remember what to search for. I'll dig around for it. I just need a warm day and I'm all set. :)

Chemistry is different.

You have nothing in that mix that will do more than strip some wax.

Any vehicle that is living in an urban area has some ferrous particles and has been subjected to Industrial Fallout, which when it is subjected to water, creates a version of acid rain down in the clear.

Use of purely caustic chemicals, wether base or acid leaves the paint film void of plastizers, etc.

The ABC was tested and approved for use by not only the vehicle manufacturers, but the paint suppliers.

I hope this gives you some confidence in what I am presenting.

While it is not "rocket science", neither is it "snake oil", but valid chemistry.

<strong class='bbc'>what is this "ABC" and where can i get some??? [/b]</blockquote>
Ketch can probably explain it the best to you. Shoot him an email or a PM and he can tell you all about it. It is basicly a 3 step system to prep your car for polishing. It does sort of a deep cleaning on your paint. It gets out the industrial fall out and rail dust and all those bad things that wreck your paint. It's a pretty neat system. Ketch can direct you where to go to find it. :xyxthumbs

i didn't think i'd have to buy it. lol. i thought maybe it was like a homemade solution thing. i'm going to read a little bit more, i'll probably end up buying it though.
