Clay Lubricants

Clay Lubricant

Thanking everyone for their inputs on my post. Amazing how much one can learn by simply asking questions in this forum. I like Flash's reply about using water as a lubricant, I'll definitely try that. Also learned about ONR, never heard or used it but can't wait to get it and try that product as well.

It really depends on the claybar you use too.

ONR did not work well with mothers and red clay magic for me .

Lubrishine from evercoat works best for red clay magic IME .

Claybars ive used stick without some soap or lubrication ........how you just use water is surprizing Flash ! What kind of claybar do you use Flash?

I like to use 4 oz per gallon of distilled water as the ratio for my clay lube. 2oz doesn't seem to lubricate enough.

Thanks for mentioning it DJ.........it did not work at 2 ounces per gallon for me and both claybars were sticking to the paint.

I will give 4 ounces a try. Also I have the new version ONR

I like Chemical Guys Luber claybar/clayblock lubricant.
Clay never sticks, and it cleans up really easy with no steaking, etc..
Its the best I have ever found so far.

I tried this ratio today and it worked very well! It did however affect the way my sealant went on and off , seemed a little more difficult . I hope the two are compatible.

The ONR new formula may not be the same as the old formula as far as a clay lube . Ive only tried the new .

Hey ya'll - I've tried the ONR as clay lube too - and played with the dilution rates and I found that the AutoMagic Bodyshine is the best by far, it's fairly cheap and makes a good QD too.
