I tried at least 4 different combos before i got anything to even put a dent on this things clear coat, talk about stubborn.

The alfa is my dads, its a 95', the last year they brought them hear. As you can see it has been seriously neglected for a very long time. Its been painted a couple of times, at least, and it was a real pita to work on. I started off with the PC and the car laughed at me, i went as mild as i could but at the end i had to use a WOOL pad with MEGUIARS 2.0 DIAMOND CUT, TWICE. And the paint is still full of swirls (alot less though). I don't have all the afters yet, i'll post those tomorrow.

Oh yah i had to wetsand the entire trunk with 3m 1500grit sand paper because a couple of days before he had decided to tape up a box he had to send out on the trunk. And the rims, lets just say it took 2 hours a one whole mothers mini powerball.

The bike got:

wash,clay,wash

ssr2.5 via PC and LC yellow cutting pad

optimum polish with LC white polishing pad

RMG via PC and white polishng pad

CG top coat sealant with 3x carnuba by hand

Nattys blue by hand removed with OCW

Natural look on tires, and powder coated materials

Adams metal polish 1 and 2 on chrome

CG leather conditioner on leather

but for some reason i couldnt get the chrome next to the head light clean, i tried adams 1 and 2, mr. buffer, mothers power polish with mothers mini powerball but he didn't care because he was going to powdercoat it anyway. Wait did i say him, its actually my friends moms bike, lol.

can you say no swirls/scratches?

The bike and the Benz look incredible!

Looks like you had your hands full with the Alfa. I did one probably around 10 years ago but it was pretty new, so no problems with the paint. I'm definitely interested in all your steps and the after pics. :)
