Hi guys,

I planning on detailing my engine soon.

Are there any Locally available Citrus-Based Degreasers here in USA.

David said to avoid the Petroleum based cleaners as they harm the rubber hoses and such.

Also, I'm think of using NXT TEch Protectant for the dressing but I want a dressing that minmizes dust and dirt accumulation on the engine bay if that's possible. Is NXT TP the way to go for me ?

Thanx ya'll.

A Chemical Co. wholesaler will deliver 5, 35, 55 gal containers and the active ingredients in a Citrus-Based cleaner is called D-Limonene. You will find that D-Limonene is a metal & rubber cleaner/brightener

ORANGE TOUGH® 40 is what I use and it is made by Spartan chemical Co

If you use Citrus-Based cleaner you should read this:

What I do after I clean under the hood is let dry spray on or wipe on 303 on rubber and let it set and rub off. Then spray on a spray sealer (the kind of sealer that leaves no white residue) let set and rub off.

There is no way to keep an engine dust free best thing is to keep it clean. You can install a bug screen in front of the rad

Have you tried Simnple Green? There's actually a few citrus-based degreasers available at most AutoZones/Pep Boys, etc.

I like CD2 Engine Detailer after cleaning the engine and bay, the only thing I would be careful of is using it on a warm and humid day -- it never seems to dry.
