Chrome oxidizes? I've heard good things about wenol. I use never dull on my chrome wheels but they dont have any thing wrong with them, so I dont know if never dull will fix that.

I don't think chrome oxidizes or rust

could we see some pics?

if you see rust I think that the rim itself is rusting

and the chrome has failed in that spot

I could be wrong I am not an expert on this but i know this to be the case on chrome items that i have cleaned

I have seen rusty chrome before. If there is rust, you are going to need some 0000 steel wool. Use the steel wool with a good chrome polish.

do you have some better pics? They look like they are polished with a clear coat, and not chrome. From what I've seen if they are polished, the white spots look like clear coat failure. You could try the Mothers, we've had good sucess with Flitz and Wenol on polished and chromed rims.

These are teh only pics I have. The wheels are chrome not polished... you cant buy these wheels in a polished option. So I can confirm that they are not polished. Alright I give those a try, what about for cleaning the dirt, I heard that oven cleaner could work wonders.. how true is that?

Thanks

thanks for the pics

I think it looks like those rims are clear coated so no steel wool!

also are you sure it's rust and not bad break dust?

whoa!! no oven cleaner. Do you have any type of APC (all purpose cleaner)? Have you tried using a clay bar?

IF they are chrome, then find some dupont no7 chrome polish-its the best. You may find some at an auto parts store, likely an older store that may still have some on the shelves
