Chrome Wheel Care

Hi all, just joined and let me say i am overwelmed and impressed with the info here. I just purchaced an 04 Chevy Tahoe and am also getting a set of 22 inch chrome wheels for the summer months (good ol Pennsylvainia). I have found alot of info scattered throughout the site on wheel care and took some notes but would like to get some advice on what to do right from the start with a brand new set of wheels and the proper maintenance schedule to protect my $2000 purchace for as long as i have them. I would love to get some info on what products to have on hand and steps for cleaning and polishing so i get started off right and have the best ways of protecting the wheels step by step as they are both on the car and in storage for the wounderful winter months. This stems from a friend of mines situation where his chrome 22's are two years old and pretty much ruined becuase he didnt take care of them properly (lack of knowlage) and i dont want the same thing to happen to me.......thanks in advance for the help
 
A good safe wheel cleaner is P21S wheel gel. A great polish is deepFinish Deep Chrome. When your are not polishing and removing spots you could clean them off with glass cleaner and a good microfiber cloth. Chrome wheels are pretty easy as long as you lean them and polish them regularly. I've had a set of chrome wheels on my other car for almost 5 years now and they still look as great as the day I got them.



PS-PA winters are brutal. PA summers are extremely hot. What gives with this state?? ;)

thanks for the help, i knew if i did it right they would last a long time. Not sure whats up with this state....a few weeks ago we were in the 60s now tonight it will be close to 0

Deal witht the same thing here in michigan. All that comes to mind is global warming!:woot2:
