chrome polishing

just washing chrome rims makes them look good, but i'm wondering if putting a coat of nxt tech wax on them will also make a big difference and be worth it?

Do it, Nxt does something to my chrome rims that is amazing, i mean my chrome is always clean, but after putting nxt on there, they have an intense shine, its very apparent. Do it and report back.

You are going to be surprised how much of a difference polishing and protecting your chrome will make. Here's an example of what AIO by itself can do. You can also use Vanilla Moose, NXT, or any other cleaner type product and then protect with SG or another good sealant.

If you take steps to clean and protect your paint, then you should do the same for your chrome.

As others have mentioned you can use AIO, VM, etc. to get them cleaned up and polished (if needed), then protect them with a good wax or sealant. They'll look better, last longer (won't rust or pit), and be much easier to clean.

Shiny, well protected chrome is happy chrome ;)

Wax melts at around 160 dgrees.

Sealants 'melt' at about 400 degrees.

Wheels get hot.

You make the call.

~One mans opinion / observations~

NXT Tech Wax- it’s called ‘wax’ but it’s a polymer (good for approx 350oF)

Wheel temp will obtain approx 200oF+ (Wax will melt at approx. 180oF)

Wheel Wax- it’s called ‘wax’ but it’s a polymer (good for approx 350oF)

Zanio (Z2, 3 & 5) polishes don’t contain abrasives or oil so there are not really a polish

Confused yet?

~Hope this helps~
