Chrome help needed.

94 NDTA- People have [messed] up wheels with the PowerBall, so I myself wouldn't try that (I know others like 'em).

I'd use cotton for hand-application as it generally has the most bite. It might gunk up fast, so I dunno if one cotton applicator will do it.

That P21s would be fine for regular cleaning, but will almost certainly be too gentle for the initial cleanup. Actually, I'd LSP/coat them and then use a shampoo mix instead so you don't have to redo them all the time (less of an issue if you coat them) as the Wheel Cleaner will strip LSP.
Pardon my ignorance, but what's LSP? I bought some NuFinish to coat the wheels when done. Are you saying the P21s would be too strong after the wheels are coated? Thanks for your help by the way.

I know used to have a glossary for terms but I can't find it.

Edit: found it. Thats the plan. Get them the way I want them. Seal them, and go from there.

94 NDTA- Glad you figured it out, I post anyhow:

LSP = Last Step Product, i.e., wax/sealant/coating, the stuff you put on for protection.

If you use a coating like GlossCoat the Wheel Cleaner won't kill it *too* fast, but IME it will eventually start to compromise it. IF you use NuFinish the Wheel Cleaner will basically clean the NuFinish off after a few cleanings.

Will do. When I get some free time (tough with a 4 month old) I am going gung ho on my car. I think I am going to pull the wheels off and do them that way.

Put a baby seat in the car (I know, it would look funny in a 'vette) but then you and Jr. can spend some quality time together and you can play with your car at the same time. :bigups

Ha! Eventually. Would probably terrify the baby, plus dealing with a couple exhaust leaks...and it's not a vette.

Vette rims? OK, so don't use the power tools around the baby yet, just that hand stuff AND the wife can't say you're not spending quality time with the child (my wife wants me to "let" my boys help me wash & wax my car *shudders* ... not happening).

Well, the paint is still in great shape, but the pits in the chrome...are there for good. I will just have to accept the fate that I will probably need new ones in 5-10 years. They look a lot better after the m205, but if I shine a light directly on them, they are still there.
