Chemical Guys?

I have some of their stuff. Very impressed with petes, CWC is great, Really dig bare bones for wheel wells. 50/50 is decent but I like petes better. I just picked up the stripper scent air freshener as a novelty and like it. The synthetic QD and polishing pad conditioner kinda sucks. The blue 16x16 MF's are a great deal for the price. So they definitely have a few nice products.
 
The Citrus Wash and Gloss is great as a wax stripper and as a maintenance wash. I have also used it at wax stripper concentrations to clean used buffer pads - came out better than when I used special pad cleaners.



The EZ Creme Glaze is fantastic! I will never polish or prep a car again without using that product right before applying a sealant. Unbelievable!



I have not seen any other of their products that I would like to try as I already have favs that work great.



I have not purchased products from them directly, usually get it at detailed image, so I cannot speak to how they are to deal with.
 
1) I'm currently using the Citrus Wash, giving it a try; so far I like it.

2) I'm also currently using/trying their Wheel & Rim cleaner; nice?

3) I'm also trying/using their Wheel Guard & Wheel Wax; I'll let you know.



I don't know the owners, got my order in a timely manner; I'll defer to others.
 
just saying, and this goes for any business in general.. unfortunately, the first impression is everything sometimes that could make or break if you ever spend money with them. you could talk to someone over the phone and they could be rude/arrogant and that could make you not want to do business with them ever again (this includes buying their products in person or online), while the owner could be the nicest person you've ever met...
 
You can buy a lot better waxes then there Butter Wet Wax! I would advise you get Clearkotes Carnuba Wax.



Most of the decent Chemical Guys products are already out there in the form of "other brands". All the labels tends to be poorly written, i have some fun ones where it says "no polishing or cleaning action" then a few lines later "the gentle cleaning action restores the paintwork....". Complete tripe!



Claims that shampoos can do the same job as a "paintwork cleaner" (ie. a polish which is only chemically abrasive) i dont think so....



I think they really believe that b/c they are cheap, you can forgive them....and maybe you can?



All in all there a few good shampoos, GlossWerks being the best. All of the QDs under there own lable are pretty average. Some of the pads get good reviews, IMO they wont last as well as your flat Lake Countries or Meguiars Soft buff 2.0's.



I have tried there latest polishes, there OK. Menzerna still seems to turn a better result.



Petes 53 is a nice wax is 50/50 and the XXX is good for the money.
 
I use the CWG in my foam canon, have bought 2 gal's so far. I've used their tar & bug bugger too with success, it goes quick if you do a lot of cars that are highway bandits. I love grime reaper for degreasing pretty much everything possible. I use it at full strenght under the hood and at 1:5 for wheels. Hell, i've even added it to clay lube to help cut out really embedded contaminates.



I had the honor of speaking with paul when i was first looking for detailing supplies to start my company. He went out of his way to give me a 45 minute business lesson and barely discussed his products. That sat well with me and if i ever had the chance, think it would be of great value to shadow him for a week.

Many detailing prdts manufacturers love to use those wonderful adjectives and fantastic claims to push their products. Well, these powerful words might sound convincing to many amateurs, and might even be convincing enough to induce product trial. LOL...I guess this is the "new"era where individuals buy super-expensive torchlights and high-end digital SLRs even though they seldom use one, have no REAL frequent need for one, but it's so "cool" to own one! It's all in the MARKETING TACTICS.....mftrs create a need and make you feel that you need their stuff.



Anyway, I was disappointed with Jetseal and 109 sealants.

Lots of hype but did not deliver.



On silver, I was expecting at least Klasse SG standards. But both CG sealants fell short.

Did not look significantly better vs Klasse, Zaino or Megs 16. In hot tropical weather with frequent showers, durability was relatively poor.

Atleast you spoke with them. A couple months back I called them about a technical question that none of their phone reps had a clue about. They turned my onto thier head tech guy that didn't return any of my 3 messages.
