Chemical Guy's Slow Shipping

This is day 8 and my order status is still pending.

I sent them a E mail 4 days ago asking why the delay as to date I have not heard from them.

I clicked on the section where you can change your order or cancel and guess what You can not cancel because it said the order is in the final stage and can not be changed.
Been that way for a few days now but order status is still pending.

I'm beginning to feel like this is going to be one of those deals where I'm glad that I used a credit card because if they don't ship by the end of this week I will call my credit card and tell them to not pay the charges if they do get around to shipping.
That appears to be the only way left to cancel

CG states that they will charge your CC 24 hours before they ship.
I just went on-line and check my statement and no charges yet.
Today I will try to call them and see if i can find out something since they don't respond to E Mail.

call one time and they were too busy for me........

busy phone lines, unanswered emails, etc.

The shipping time I could live with if they would communicate with you.
It does sound like they aren't real big on communications. :notme:
It will be interesting to see how your phone call is handled. :)

Poor customer service is usually a good indication of the overall company attitude towards customers.
I have an easy solution when I receive poor service. I politely inform the vendor that I will purchase elsewhere in the future and explain why with as much detail as they want. I could write a thread on some of the exchanges. If you stay calm and polite, it just drives them crazy when they can't get into an argument with you to let them make some excuse for their lack of interest.

Since they are in California and assuming that they don't show up until 9am I will need to wait till noon my time to call.

They have a number that you can call 24/7 but it is not toll free.

I'll be dam if I'm going to spend 5 bucks calling them to hear a sorry excuse for such poor service.

I will wait and call them during their business hours on the 800 number.

I can understand things being mixed up but when you E Mail them you expect a reply as to why the poor service.
The sponsors on this site don't do business that way
I don't know how CG can stay in business but probably their main concern is with the big accounts who they make and relabel for not a small order like mine.
If that is the case they could just refuse orders under a set amount and avoid all this hassle.

I'm just going off on a rant here but I'm really mad at Chemical Guys. I placed a large order on the 4th of this month. Half of the stuff came yesterday and the items that I really need are not here yet. This is absolutely rediculous! I guess I jinxed myself when I posted earlier on this thread that I've had no major problems.:wall

These kinds of threads can be very damaging to a company. If Chemical Guys gave you bad service then you have a right to expose it but I would rather this thread not become a Chemical Guys bashing thread.

Just another added thought on this issue. I have been known to express publically my dissatisfaction with a product or service before but I always make sure to give the company a chance to make things right with me first.

BTW, I don't have any association with Chemical Guys. Never met them or talked to them.

Some what on topic, since they get rave reviews on their MF towels. I want to order myself some and give them a try. So, I called CGs and asked if they allow for local pick up. The phone rang about 3 times before a polite gentleman greeted me and answered my question (they do allow local PU). I have never dealt w/ them before, but from my inital contact I think I'm willing to try them out.

For the record......I really do like all the MF towels I ordered from them. I had one backordered item.....when I called....they had the orange in stock but not the green (elgordo fatboys)....and I said......what da hey.....its a towel send me the orange. Paul said he would call shipping and have it go out today.

I have no complaints......and I have ordered some more as well........(which I need like a hole in da head ;) )

ALSO........

Yesterday at Costco.....for grunt work......I bought a pack of 50 yellow mf.....dirt cheap something under 20 bux...... they are 80/20......dayglow yellow......My MF stash is almost complete......

And as a customer once again, with Chemical Guys.....I have no problems.

Would I go to them again. Yup, no problem.

;)

Fedx delivered my CG order today.
The towels are thicker than what I expected from the photos they did not look as thick as they really are:bow

I think these may be like Charles was asking about.
They are so plush that they may have reached a point where they are overkill but MAN these are thick and plush. :bigups

They are plush on both sides.
if you think you have a plush towel you have not seen these

I could not wait to try them so I ran out to the garage and QDed my Ranger and they work great but they are heavy.

Some may not like them because of the weight but I adapted to them quickly.

I have not tried the EZ Creme Glaze yet maybe tomorrow:D
