I received CG Lava as a gift from AG so I`m not complaining (too much). I have and like Pete`s 53 and CG 50/50, but this is a whole different animal. I opened up the jar and there was a runny liquid on the top of the "wax". The wax itself has a pudding like texture. Does anyone know if this stuff is any good? It smells great, like V07, an orange creamsicle smell that makes you want to eat it. But it just doesn`t look right. I went to the CG website to check it out, there is no mention of it on Autopia or AG. The stuff sells for $79.99, but from experience I know with CG price does not equal quality. I dripped some of the orange liquid on a nice shirt. I put some spot remover on the shirt immediately, I have my doubts that the stain will come out. Any clues whether this product is bad?
 
JustJesus, in the first picture you can see it above the rim of the jar, in my jar is is sunk down about 3/4 of an inch and runny. What I`ve got does not even look close to the picture on the video. Again, I got it free so what would you do if you got this as a gift? Should I just tell customer service about the problem in case they have more to give away or just toss it and forget it. AG and Autopia have been very good to me over the years and I definitely don`t want to cause a problem over a freebie.

Trade it to someone for like a polishing pad.

are you asking in general, or me directly? as in WWJD? (JK, but Jesus *is* my name, though). The only time I see "separation" like that is with liquids, i.e., polishes, waxes. For a paste wax to do that seems way odd to me.

Me personally, I won`t make a fuss about it, but to avoid future batches of this going out, yes, I would notify AG about the issue. If they want it back, I`d send it back so they can inspect it. If they didn`t want it, I`d just toss it, or play with it. Maybe I`d try to remelt it and make it solid again. But I`m weird like that sometimes.

I wouldn`t, at least not with full disclosure, try to sell/trade it off. But who knows, maybe someone out there would want it anyway! ;)
 
Thanks Jesus, that`s what I figured would be the best route. I used your name because you were nice enough to post the video and I could see the wax in the video was not like the one I had.
 
Ahhh. Got it. Yeah, I don`t work for Honda (Helpful Honda People) but sometimes I try and help out :P Especially when it`s easy
