Chemical Guys Diablo Dirty Rims

I diluted my Diablo Gel at somewhere between 4:1 and 5:1, I use one of the gray chemical resistant sprayers and it clings & cleans (as a maintenance cleaner) wonderfully, it doesn't stack up to baked on brake dust or deposits though. For those of you using stronger dilutions, is the performance difference on tough wheels that much more notable to be using 2-4 times as much product?

This works about as well as just shampoo and water, I guess the benefit is it clings and helps to break down. Its good for maintenance washes.

I like to use it diluted in a bottle and also use it as a shampoo for my brushes. It suds up pretty nicely and works good as a shampoo.

I love the stuff as well. I usually reserve it for the dirtier wheels and it has no problem cutting the gunk. It likes to dry fast in the sun, but I haven't noticed any ill effects (such as spotting, staining) and washes right off.

Well I have to admit, after hearing alot of good about Diablo, I went out and bought it. The results I got today were not so impressive. It seems that this works best on dirt and grim, not so good on brake dust on flat black rims. Maybe I was hoping for some miracle product but I could have gotten the same effect from my normal car wash products. I also got some Sonax that I'll be trying later this week to see how it performs.

I reserve Diablo for Semi dirty wheels. I prefer the Sticky wheel gel. I like the CG gel cleaners because you can let them dwell a long time without damage. As far as bad brake dust Royal Brown works best. Sonax is up there too but not as good as RB when you compare cost. Royal Brown is my last resort. If that does not get it off your pretty much done.
Two things I find detailers have in common. The search for the perfect wheel brush and the do it all wheel cleaner.
In the end you can only do so much for a set of rims that were severely neglected.
When you get them clean keep them clean. Once a year in the spring my rims come off the car the get scrubbed, clayed, polished and sealed. After that I can wash them with car shampoo and the dirt washes off. Don't need a heavy duty wheel cleaner until the spring.

Duuuuuudeeeee, yeaaa man, rock on!!! Surfs up!!!!

Did you just spray it on or did you agitate it at all? Are you using a regular sprayer instead of a foamer? When I first bought it I wasn't impressed either, than I started using a foaming sprayer and it works way better. I use it with 14" brakes all around that leave terrible brake dust on my gloss black wheels and it works great. After I spray it on I also agitate it with a Daytona speed brush within a few minutes.

I decided to finally order some to try, got a foaming sprayer all lined up ready to go with it. I don't need heavy cleaners for my personal cars so it should be perfect for my use.

where can you get a good foaming sprayer from?
i've looked everywhere locally because the shipping is usually the same or more that the bottle itself.
thanks guys
