Chemical Guys CWG vs. CWC vs. CW..?????

OK, I have done a search but I've only come up with a ton of threads showing people using these soaps. I see that DI has all 3 Citrus Wash styles for sale and was thinking of picking some up, but I'm really confused as to the differences between them, especially CWG and CWC. The DI descriptions of both are almost identical, and I believe the CW is just a stronger version than the others, mostly an LSP-stripper.

So who has experience with BOTH CWG and CWC and can explain to me the difference between the two and why you should pick one over the other? And if anyone is also familiar with the standard CW, where would this come into play in regards to the other two? Thanks in advance.

CWG has a glossing agent that it leaves on the car. CWC does not. They both can strip wax if mixed to strongly. They are both excellent soaps and dillute GREAT to make a cost effective maintenance wash. The CWG dillutes a little bit more then the CWC.

Does that help?

Yes, thank you. Any experience with the standard CW? I don't even see that on the CG site anymore. Seems like it would only be good as a stripping wash.

CW is super-concentrated. You can use it as a normal wash by using it sparingly. As previously mentioned, the difference in CWC & CWG is the glossing agents in CWG. All can be mixed in strength to strip.

All of these are superior shampoos, IMO. The cleaning capabilities and lubricity is as good as anything I've ever used. If you like tons of suds and put the soap in the bucket before filling you're gonna get 'em. If you're the type that adds the soap to water last you're still going to get the same lubricity and cleaning power without suds all over the place. I picked up a gallon of CW&G cheap so that's my routine wash. If you're going to do a detail and prefer not to have glossing agents on the paint after a wash you may prefer CWC. They're all almost interchangeable for my personal uses. YMMV.

Daily car wash shampoos CITRUS BASED

if you want glossing agents left behind get the CW&G, if not then CWC. they will both strip LSP's if diluted accordingly...

Thanks Al, but that is the CWC.

This is the Citrus Wash that I don't see on the CG site. It's more expensive than CWC and CWG, and I'm wondering if it's worth it for a stripping wash. It's obviously more concentrated than the other 2, so it may not be worth it if the other ones are more versatile. Thanks for the replies everyone.

from what i gather... the only difference is obviously the color and the CW dilutes a little more than the CWC, but they are both citrus based and generally just about the same otherwise...
