I spent a good amount of time with black light. Just for reference I received my bottle of Black Light 2-3 weeks ago so it is fairly new.
After this weekend Black Light is permanently removed from my arsenal. Glad I only got the 4oz sample. I just don't see what others even see in it.
I used bran new pads as my test. I used white, blue, black, and red hex pads with Black Light, all clean or new. I used a DA at low speed, at high speed, some with pressure others with no pressure. In every case Black Light was abrasive enough to extremely micro-mar my pristine surface. Also just to prove I love Chemical Guys products, I used V38 Polish to undo the damage caused by Black Light. This is not a review, so I am not going to post the 20 pictures at each phase I took.
The subject was a bran new 2015 Harley Davidson with the Vivid Black color scheme. Rear fender. I also tested several products, M205, Menzerna 4500, Chemical Guys V38.
I found V38 to be the best overall final polish I have, even over Menzerna, I loved V38. If I was trying to get some crazy swirls and micro-marr I would use M205, remove, and then use V38 and it was pretty amazing. Seems to be my new go to final polish.
Here is a picture, my surface was completely pristine when I applied Black Light, and this picture is right after I used Black Light. You can see intense micro-marring that took some time to remove.

Here is a pass of Chemical Guys V38 to fix/remove the micro-marring from Black Light.
