Check your tire pressure!!

Tire Pressure as you all have stated is pretty important -- I actually have a tire pressure monitor installed in the car itself -- and I usually have one of my displays showing the pressure at all times -- pretty interesting to watch the numbers change as you start off from cold tires and drive and see the pressure build up.

I suspect those are rubber marks. I get those all over the side of my bike when I track it. I can't imagine the heat the Porsche would put in those tires. Good on you, Brad B., to use that vehicle like it was meant to be used!



And I concur about the 1 lb of pressure making a difference. On my bike, 1 lb could mean the difference between the tire sticking on the exit, or spinning up wildly.

unmistakably though yet another good tip from a pro.... wonder if the chalk thing would work for fine tuning of on-road tire pressures?



:D Yea, that isn't a dark photo. That's mega brake dust! It took me hours to clean up after that two day track event!



Sure it can help street driving. Rollover comes into play whenever your tires are getting loaded at the max like on freeway ramps and hard cornering. Chalking can help sort out what's going on. It's especially effective with low profile tires.

It differs a bit with each brand and tread pattern of tire but common sense just tells you to keep the road on the tread and off the sidewall. So run the chalk down to the soft sidewall. If you go beyond that you are in trouble and needing air!
